Working Committee of Jamiat Ulama Hind appeals to all justice-loving international institutions
Israel is taking away the right to live from the victims of Gaza: Maulana Arshad Madani
New Delhi: 15 October 2023
President Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind and Founding Member of Muslim World League Maulana Arshad Madani said that Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind has been a supporter of every struggle for the protection of Jerusalem, Palestine and Gaza from day one, and it still stands with Palestine today. Israel is an usurper country that has usurped the land of Palestine with the support of some world powers. And they are now about to eliminate the existence of the Palestinian people from this land.
He strongly condemned the Israeli army's aggression, barbaric attacks and atrocities on Gaza, and said that this war is part of Israel's permanent terror plans. In the end, as a natural reaction, the Palestinians showed extreme courage and bravery, and launched a counterattack on the tyrant Israel, that Israel could not even imagine.
Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind considers the attacks on Gaza as a serious attack on human rights and strongly condemns it. It is a pity that today even those countries of the world are silent on this cruelty, which claim to be leaders of global peace and unity, and the international organizations that constantly pretend to raise voice for human rights are also silent.
At the same time, he has appealed to all the world leaders to come forward to immediately stop the ongoing tragic war in Gaza, and the dangerous bombardment on the population. He said that the Security Council of United Nations, the Muslim World League and other influential international organizations should intervene without any delay, and make positive and effective efforts to establish peace there. If this does not happen, the range of this war may increase, and it may engulf the entire world.
Maulana Madani also expressed deep regret that on the one hand innocent civilians are being killed, and on the other hand the recent meeting of the Security Council of United Nations has failed due to the indifference among few major powers.
He said that this has been happening for 75 years on the issue of Palestine, the dark side of it is that even if the United Nations passed a resolution, Israel did not accept it, and the whole world remained a silent spectator. That is why no acceptable solution has been found so far.
He also said that some of the world's major powers have been playing dangerous games in the Middle East in view of their own interests, due to which the people of Palestine are constantly suffering from Israel's illegitimate rule and its cruelty and brutality.
Israel is also sabotaging every attempt for peace, and for 75 years, Israel is not only expanding its population, but is occupying all areas of Palestine one by one, Even its occupation of Jordan, Golan Heights etc is being watched by the world. In other words, the land has become narrow for the countrymen in their own country.
For a period of time, children, the elders and ordinary citizens are being targeted, and Israel has been carrying out these actions and atrocities continuously. The brave people of Palestine have been sacrificing their lives for years to liberate their land. Jamiat-i-Ulama-i-Hind considers it a natural reaction and Israel's continued aggression is responsible for that.
Maulana Madani said that as far as India's stand is concerned, it has always talked about the establishment of peace and the rights of the Palestinian people. From Mahatma Gandhi, Pandit Nehru, Indara Gandhi to Atal Bihari Vajpayee, everyone has always supported the Palestinian cause. But look at the irony is that today the Indian media is calling Hamas, which is fighting for the recovery of its rights, as a terrorist.
He explained that the struggle of the people of Palestine is for the freedom of their homeland and the recovery of the First Qibla. The real root of the conflict is the dangerous expansionist thinking of Israel, by which he wants to occupy the entire land of Palestine by evicting the people of Palestine from there.
He said that even today we should follow the ancient stand of our elders, and the demand of justice is also to support the truth because the people of Palestine are on the right.
And the solution is that according to the decision of the United Nations, an independent state of Palestine should be established, and Israel should return to its borders under the Oslo Accords of 1967.
Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind pays tribute to the courage, patience and steadfastness of the oppressed Palestinians, and prays May Allah keep their courage high and help them (Aamen).
